Welcome to our website.
We hope that it has made you as enthusiastic about our technology as we are. This page has been written in a form that it can be easily updated, so please look it at regular intervals to see what is happening. A recent addition is the publication of a new paper "Enhanced Bioavailability of Eicosapentaenoic Acid from Fish Oil After Encapsulation Within Plant Spore Exines as Microcapsules". This showed that this component of Omega 3 is taken up into the blood much more easily if it is encapsulated in plant pollen than if it is just taken as a fish oil. This could be very important for other products. Please contact us for more details. Following some recent grants and filings our patent page might also be worth a visit.
Sporomex has completed a 3 year DEFRA LINK project with Croda, Boots and Frontier. This produced fish oil filled rye pollen shells on a pilot plant at viable processing speeds.
